If you've read about the plans for resuming school in September, you probably also have some thoughts & opinions about them. The Vancouver DPAC wants to hear from you, and has created a survey for parents/guardians of students in Vancouver. Please complete the Back to School Survey to help the DPAC inform VSB staff & trustees about the reactions of families to the back to school plan. The survey closes 30 August.
(You can also find links on that page to the plans themselves, if you haven't had a chance to review them yet!) Vancouver DPAC is also holding a School Restart Town Hall on Wednesday, September 2. VSB Superintendent and other district staff will be in attendance. The Town Hall will be streamed live on the DPAC's YouTube page.

In case anyone missed the release from the VSB with a look at the plans for secondary schools for the upcoming year, you'll find all the information here. The separate Factsheet for Secondary Schools is worth a look for a better idea of how the quarterly system will work for our students. Further information will continue to come from the VSB and our school as plans are approved by the province and finalized.
You can also find up-to-date information from the Vancouver District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) and more broadly from the BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils (BCCPAC.) And last but not least, detailed information from the Ministry of Education specifically for parents can be found here. It's a lot to take in, but hopefully the details here will help both parents and students get a feel for what school will look like this year. |
