The Illusionists turns the mirror on media, exposing the absurd, sometimes humorous, and shocking images that seek to enslave women, men, and children. The film will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with leading experts including The Illusionists' Italian filmmaker Elena Rossini! The Windermere PAC is hosting a presentation by the Vancouver Police Department’s Gang Squad on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 7-8 PM at Windermere Secondary School. The presentation will include the following topics: myths and realities about gangs; signs your teen is in a gang; where and who to turn to if your teen is involved in gang activity; tactics used by gangs to recruit teens; and what has the VPD been doing to ensure our neighbourhood is safe.

Charles Tupper & Charles Dickens PACs are hosting a screening of the acclaimed documentary SCREENAGERS on Thursday Nov. 30 at 7:00 PM at the Tupper Auditorium.
SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. Parents & Guardians are invited to bring their kids (aged 10+) and join us at the Charles Tupper Secondary Auditorium to screen the film and start a conversation about growing up in the digital age. Following the film, there will be time for questions and discussion, moderated by Rebecca Janke, Parenting consultant. Register to get your ticket here.
