This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to do some learning, as Tupper staff get questions all the time about these concerns and what to do. Hopefully the answers, or at least where to start, can be found through these sessions.

HUGE thanks and kudos to Jill for her amazing work on our budget documents, once again creating a clear way forward. Please find all the documents for tonight's meeting below. Work parties:
400 Block East 23rd Avenue October 21st Saturday 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. November 4th Saturday 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. November 9th Thursday 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Update: Hey Everyone, Hope you all "weathered" the rain this morning! A huge thanks to Nancy & Tony who did major pruning in the East Cul De Sac & cleaning up of the herb gardens! A special thanks to Selina who gave an excellent workshop on planting garlic …it was so cool! She purchased 3 Garlic Bulbs & showed us how to carefully divide them into cloves that we would eventually plant. So using a grid to keep planting evenly spaced, we planted one plot of 3 different types- Hardneck Garlic: Porcelain, Salt Spring & Red Russia, in 3 rows-6 garlic cloves per row for a total of 16 garlic plants. We figured we would need approximately 100 more cloves to be planted to fill properly fill the herb garden (this is the one closest to the East Side Cul de Sac). Shivs will be placed to indicate types of garlic. I will purchase more at the Riley Park Farmers Market this Saturday and plan on planting them either Sunday or Monday. I'll also purchase some garden stones to place in the Garlic Garden so folks will know not to trample on the plants. That one particular herb plot will be mainly garlic, with some leeks and a few herbs that Mehdi planted. It was so much fun learning this & a big thanks to Selina for being a great instructor. I will post some handouts Selina brought "Growing Great Garlic" on the community Bulletin Board along with a great image of the "anatomy" of a garlic plant. The garden is looking good & we have another Working Party October 21st Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-1:00p.m.! Hope to see you there!! Thanks & Cheers, Marty ps Garlicky is a real word:) https://flauntfashionlibrary.com is a new dress rental service in Vancouver for sizes 0-12. Tupper Tech is a Trades training program based at Tupper but accepting applications from across the district.
It is for academically capable grade 12’s interested in entering the trades. Only 20 students are accepted for their grade 12 year. Most years: - 10 graduate early with their full dogwood and start an apprenticeship - 5 graduate early with their full dogwood and enter post secondary on a full scholarship. - 5 discover that the trades are not for them (now) and enter post secondary the September after graduation. Here are 2 videos showcasing the program. The first video features Tupper Tech students. The second features Danielle - an amazing story of success. https://youtu.be/lgACbGBpZms https://youtu.be/BLNqrvMFxgE Order at grousemountain.com/early-bird and use code PAC-TUPPER
