The minutes for May's meeting - the last meeting for 2020/21 - can be found here. Note that in the time since the meeting was held, the plans for Grad have changed yet again (kudos to the flexibility of our administration & staff for continuing to roll with these changes!) The most current Grad plan can be found on the school website.
The April minutes that were approved at the May meeting can be found here.

The Tupper PAC's annual AGM will be on September 15th, and will include the voting in of the executive for the 2021/22 school year. We will have several vacant positions for next year, and we will need volunteers to put their names forward for the following roles:
The volunteer hour commitment for these roles is not particularly large, but they are all really important. Remember, we need a functioning PAC for Tupper to be eligible for gaming grants each year. That's about $20,000 in funding every year that our students would miss out on without a PAC. Here's a brief idea of what these roles entail: Chair/Co-Chair
Co-Secretary
Communications
If you've been coming to PAC meetings and are thinking about helping out, or even if you've never come to a meeting but would like to step up and give us a hand, please join us at the September meeting (hopefully an in-person meeting, but will be via Zoom if necessary.) If you have any questions about the open roles, please reach out to [email protected] for more information. Thank you to all the parents who donated prizes and coffee funds for the Staff Appreciation Breakfast! We had some happy Tupper teachers & staff on Friday morning as they assessed their relative chances in each prize draw and picked up their coffee or tea and a pastry. Big thanks also to Libby for providing decorations and helping set up, & Christy for the coffee runs and chalk art outside. We had a grand total of 47 prizes to give away (there was a LOT of wine) so plenty of happy winners! Our PAC teacher rep Dara Hendren shared the following message to parents on behalf of the staff:
"On behalf of the teachers and staff at Sir Charles Tupper Secondary, I would like to thank-you for the breakfast and for the lovely messages of support. We know it has been a challenging year for everyone: parents, students, and staff. Reading the messages brought many tears and smiles of appreciation for many staff members today. We should be giving you breakfast for health checking your children daily, ensuring they wear their masks and all the other things that helped make our community safer. Thank you for recognizing our efforts. " |
