From: Director | Red Cross Student Movement
From 7:00pm to 9:00pm on May 13th, four very accomplished science students (each receiving over $60,000 in scholarships to UBC or SFU) will be speaking at the Scholar Seminar, a university preparation seminar held in support of the Canadian Red Cross. They will each be sharing their experiences and offering advice spanning academics, extra-curriculars, and scholarships, as well as engaging in question and answer sessions afterwards. One of these students is Andy Zeng, the 2017 Gordon Shrum Gold Medal (SFU’s most prestigious undergraduate honour, recognizing one graduating student for excellence in academics and extracurriculars). In addition to being a Finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship, he has recently been offered over $400,000 in awards to attend MD/PhD programs at UBC and the University of Toronto. As this is a one-time event, we want to make sure we can impact as many students and families at your school as possible, and would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with your PAC members and anyone else who may be interested.
